The research team aims to achieve the following goals:

- Study the foundations of Ottoman governance in the Balkans, including administrative divisions.
- Examine the ethnic and cultural diversity in the Balkan region during the Ottoman period.
- Investigate the topics of peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance in the Balkans under Ottoman rule.
- Explore the nature of Ottoman-Balkan relations.
- Understand the social life in the Balkans during the Ottoman period.
- Assess the extent of Ottoman cultural influence in the Balkans, including architecture, literature, music, and customs.
- Analyze the causes and consequences of the Ottoman-Balkan wars.
Scientific Foundations
- Conduct research in archival documents related to the Balkans during the Ottoman era, carefully analyzing them to obtain accurate information for detailed studies across various fields (political, economic, social, cultural, etc.).
- Define and standardize terms and historical-scientific concepts relevant to the team’s focus area.
- Produce precise research studies across multiple domains (political, economic, social, cultural, etc.).
- Organize seminars and scientific sessions on the research team’s topic to enrich the subject by inviting specialists with interests and studies on the Ottoman Empire and the Balkans.
